Op vrijdag, 20 oktober 2023 om 16 u, wordt op voorstel van de faculteit Politieke en Sociale Wetenschappen in het Paviljoen Vandehove (Rozier 1, 9000 Gent), de 37e Sarton Leerstoel toegekend aan Prof. dr. David P. Baker (Penn State University, USA).
De titel van zijn inaugurale rede is: 'Forest of Papers, Super-teams, Universities Everywhere: The Scientization of Science, 1900-2020'
Na de plechtigheid wordt een receptie aangeboden.
